Kefalonia is one of the most spectacular islands in Greece. It belongs to the group of the Ionian islands (the biggest one) and it is widely known for its hospitality and quality at all levels. Visitors will be attracted by its wonderful beaches with fine white sand and turquoise bleach-like waters. Myrtos beach is my favorite as you can see from the photos below. However, Skala beach is the ideal destination for families. Moreover, the most picturesque villages on the island are Fiskardo, Assos and Agia Efimia where you can really relax and have fun. If you want to admire the wildlife, Mount Ainos is the best choice as it is National Park where you may see many endangered species living there.
